SAN FRANCISCO: Juneteenth Celebration & Film Screening: "The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman"
The WashU Bay Area Black Alumni Council invites you and your family to us for an evening to celebrate and recognize Juneteenth. Doors open at 5 p.m. at Two Pitchers Brewing Company for a community gathering and refreshments, followed by a 7 p.m. screening of the powerful film The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman. Juneteenth-inspired desserts will be provided; in addition, dinner, snacks, and beverages can be purchased from Two Pitchers.

CHICAGO: WashU Engage Sunday Summer Soup Kitchen
Join members of the WashU Chicago community for an afternoon at the Interfaith Action Sunday Soup Kitchen. We will be helping prepare and package the meals to distribute to the community or get the kitchen and the supplies ready for the next set of volunteers to come. Children as young as 7 are welcome and encouraged to participate, provided the children have adult supervision.

We’ll start at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) for a tour of the highly regarded exhibition Hartley | Hopper: Drawings from Two New England Collections, led by Christine McCarthy, co-curator of the show and CEO of PAAM. The exhibition includes drawings by Marsden Hartley and Edward Hopper, New Englanders inspired by summers in Massachusetts.
