Join the WashU Engage Chicago Network and the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement for an afternoon of volunteering with Cradles to Crayons, followed by a gathering at Burning Bush Brewery.
Volunteers make it possible for Cradles to Crayons to serve more than 100,000 children in Chicagoland annually, providing clothing, shoes, books, school supplies, and more. Together, we will process incoming donations, and prepare them for distribution and delivery to children in our community.
Following our shift, you’re invited to join us for an optional informal gathering at Burning Bush Brewery, co-owned by Mike Decker, BSBA ’04, where we’ll enjoy 10% off food and drink. Burning Bush Brewery is a family-owned microbrewery along the Chicago River, one-half mile (about a 15-minute walk) from Cradles to Crayons.
