Awards of Distinction Nominations
Nominations for the 2027 Awards of Distinction are due by September 30, 2026.
Emerging Leader Award
The Emerging Leader Award is bestowed each year to distinguished alumni who have earned degrees from the Brown School in recent years. These honorees are selected based on early career achievement, innovation and public service.
Distinguished Alumni Award
The Distinguished Alumni Award honors Brown School graduates who have made outstanding contributions to the fields of social work or social policy. Through tireless commitment, innovation and strong leadership, these individuals have applied their Brown School education to alleviate society’s most urgent concerns.
A letter of recommendation must include:
• Nominee name
• Degree/class year
• Professional history
• Special career highlights, public and community service and/or volunteer activities
• A personal statement about why this nominee deserves this recognition
Nominees must be living graduates of the Brown School. All nominations will be under consideration for three consecutive years. If you have any questions about the nomination process or your nominee, please contact brown.alumni@wustl.edu
