Alumni Board Nominations
Nominations will be collected throughout the year.
Alumni Board Mission:
- Engage all alumni to support and strengthen the Brown School Community and its Mission by:
- Serving as an ambassador for the Brown School through philanthropy, service, and representation
- Facilitating mutually engaging and inclusive interactions among alumni, faculty, students, and staff
- Offering professional resources and opportunities for the Brown School Community
- All in an effort to realize the Brown School's vision - To create positive social change through our path-breaking research and educational excellence. https://brownschool.wustl.edu/about
Member Responsibilities:
- Meeting attendance:
- 4 out of 6 number of bi-monthly meetings; and 1 two Hour strategic planning session at the beginning of each fiscal year
- Participation in at least 2 Alumni Board sponsored events
- Serve on a committee to plan an event or board initiative
- Responsible for promoting/furthering the mission and goals of the Brown School
A nomination should include:
• Nominee name
• Degree/class year
• A short personal statement about why this nominee would be a good board member(3-5 sentences)
Alumni are welcome to nominate themselves to be a board member. Board members do not need to live in St. Louis, with virtual meetings and many virtual events, we welcome nominations for alumni in any city.
