Join the WashU Entertainment Network for a fireside chat with Clarissa Weirick, WashU parent and retired General Counsel of the NBCUniversal Filmed Entertainment Group. Weirick will be interviewed by active HollyWU, the Los Angeles Entertainment Network, alumna volunteer Ellen Eichner, JD '15, using your questions submitted during registration. Clarissa Weirick has a wealth of knowledge regarding marketing and distribution within entertainment law. She has been working in transitioning physical to digital distribution since 2001. Some of the first digital deals she worked on as an entertainment lawyer were with Apple, and Netflix while at Warner Brothers. 

About Clarissa Weirick: 
Clarissa Weirick is a corporate attorney, with experience in the entertainment industry and general corporate transactions. She served as General Counsel of the NBCUniversal Filmed Entertainment Group from 2015-2018, overseeing legal matters for the worldwide operations of the motion picture group, including its global theatrical, home entertainment and consumer products businesses and Fandango.  In that capacity, she also worked closely with the NBCUniversal corporate legal team on litigation, compliance, corporate transactions and other legal matters.

About Ellen Eichner, JD '15: 
Ellen Eichner is an alumna of Washington University School of Law and is an active member of the HollyWU Committee. Her formative law school internships at HBO and Starz led her back to Los Angeles after graduation, where she has been in private practice since her admission to the bar.  Ellen’s practice focuses on intellectual property law and corporate and commercial transactions in the entertainment and tech industries.
