On Wednesday, March 24, join Chancellor Andrew D. Martin for a conversation with George Zimmer, AB '70. Zimmer is chairman, CEO and founder of Generation Tux, an online rental platform for tuxedos and suits. He is also the founder, former CEO and chairman of Men’s Wearhouse—the largest retailer of men’s tailored suit and dress-casual clothing in the U.S. and Canada. Zimmer and Chancellor Martin will discuss conscious capitalism, Zimmer's commitment to servant leadership as an effective business model, and his tenure leading Men's Wearhouse. Following the discussion, Hillary Anger Elfenbein, John K. Wallace, Jr. and Ellen A. Wallace Distinguished Professor and Professor of Organizational Behavior, will host a live Q&A session with Mr. Zimmer.
George serves on the board of directors for the Institute of Noetic Sciences and the Oakland Zoo. He graduated from Washington University in 1970 with a degree in economics.
