Wednesdays with WashU is a webinar series featuring Washington University alumni, faculty, parents, and friends from around the world.
On Wednesday, June 16, Chancellor Andrew D. Martin will engage in discussion with Evan Goldberg, WashU parent, founder of NetSuite, and executive vice president, Oracle NetSuite Global Business Unit. The discussion will include Mr. Goldberg’s experiences building the first cloud software company, challenges and opportunities during the time of COVID-19, and the importance of NetSuite’s mission to give back. Following the discussion, attendees are able to participate in a live Q&A.
Mr. Goldberg leads the NetSuite Global Business Unit at Oracle where he is responsible for sales, services, product development and service delivery. Prior to Oracle’s acquisition of NetSuite, Goldberg was CTO and Chairman of the NetSuite board. Before co-founding NetSuite in 1998, he started mBED Software and built groundbreaking website technology. Goldberg started his career at Oracle, where he rose to vice president. He was involved in a variety of projects, all focused on making powerful technology more accessible to users. Outside of his work at Oracle, Goldberg is involved with numerous organizations focused on cancer research and children’s health and education. Goldberg holds a B.A. Summa Cum Laude in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College.
