A hands-on holiday service experience for alumni and families.
This December, the WashU Black Alumni Council in New York is teaming up with Catholic Charities to help make the holidays warmer for families across the city — and we’d love for you to be part of it.
Join us on for St. Nicholas Shopping Day, a hands-on volunteer experience where we’ll help select winter essentials for parents and children in need. Catholic Charities has already raised the funds. Our role is simple: show up, shop, and help make sure every family leaves with what they need to feel cared for this winter.
After we wrap up at the stores around 1 p.m., we’ll all come together for a relaxed lunch at Parker’s inside the Thompson Central Park — an easy walk from the Old Navy-Chelsea location. It’s a chance to warm up, connect with fellow alumni, and close out the year in community.
This is a great opportunity to:
- Give back in a direct and meaningful way
- Bring a partner, friend, or family member to serve alongside you
- Reconnect with fellow WashU alumni in New York
Space is limited, so we encourage you to sign up soon. If you would prefer to volunteer at the Old Navy-Times Square location, click here to register.
Cost: Shopping event is free. Optional lunch is $10. Registration required.
We encourage everyone to stay for our group lunch at Parker’s after the event. If you’re able to join for lunch, please select the lunch option when registering.
NOTE: You will receive a confirmation email after completing this registration form. If you do not receive confirmation, please email alumninetworks@wustl.edu.
