Join the WashU Engage San Diego Network and the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement as we support Feeding San Diego in their ambitious goal to end hunger in our community through food rescue.
Volunteers are a crucial part of Feeding San Diego’s mission. Together, we will support their food distribution efforts, sorting and packing food for families in need. Participants are also encouraged to bring non-perishable items for donation. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with WashU alumni, parents, and friends, while making a positive difference San Diego!
IMPORTANT: You will also need to register with Feeding San Diego by Saturday, March 28th. Please register with Feeding San Diego here.
Requirements:
- All volunteers must be 6 years old to enter the warehouse.
- Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a chaperone over the age of 18.
- Closed-toe shoes are required. For your safety, you cannot enter our volunteer center while wearing open-toed shoes. Tennis shoes or running shoes work great!
