Join WashU Young Alumni on a site visit of the East End construction, led by Jane Kojima, East End Enhancements Communications Manager. The East End Transformation Project is the largest capital project ever undertaken on the Danforth Campus with eight major components, three new academic buildings, an expansion of the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, two new muti-use facilities, an underground parking garage, and the expansive new Ann and Andrew Tisch Park. The project is more than a construction project: it furthers the university’s mission and values, setting the course for the next era of academic excellence and service to society.

Following the hour-long site visit, we will walk over to Cafe Bergson in the DUC for an afternoon coffee break.

Attire:

  • Hard soled, closed toe shoes (No athletic shoes/sneakers, sandals, high heels, flip flops, etc.)
  • Long pants (No shorts, capri pants, leggings [regardless of length], skirts, dresses, etc.)
  • Shirt with sleeves (No sleeveless blouses, tank tops, etc.).
  • Personal protective equipment including a hardhat, safety vest, eye protection, and gloves will be provided to wear while on the construction site.
