Join the Washington University Black Alumni Council at the Black Rep to see Crowns by Regina Taylor.  Hats become a springboard for an exploration of black history and identity as seen through the eyes of a young black woman who has come down South to stay with her aunt after her brother is killed in Brooklyn.  Hats are everywhere, in exquisite variety, and the characters use the hats to tell tales about everything from the etiquette of hats to their historical and contemporary social functions.

Linda Kennedy, the show's director, will join alumni and friends for a pre-reception in Schoenberg Gallery, the lower level of Mallinckrodt Center.  Tickets will be available for pick up at the pre-reception.

1:45 p.m. - Pre-Show Reception with remarks by Linda Kennedy at 2:00 p.m.
