Throughout our history, Black faculty and staff have played a significant and necessary role at Washington University. They have been integral to the success of generations of students while influencing campus culture and climate. Join us on November 30th as we kick off our year-long series spotlighting Black faculty and staff and the alumni and friends who have been impacted by them. Our first event will be a virtual conversation featuring Gabrielle Glore, producer of Emmy-nominated Sylvie’s Love, and daughter of the late Dean Adrienne Glore. Gabrielle will discuss her journey and reflect on her mother’s legacy of generosity and service. Imani Cheers, interim senior associate provost for undergraduate education at The George Washington University and chair of the DC Chapter of the WashU Black Alumni Council, will join Gabrielle for this conversation.

If you haven't already, we encourage you to watch Sylvie’s Love, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Sponsored by the WashU Black Alumni Council and the John B. Ervin Scholars Program.
