Our guest speaker is Andrea Urice, Teaching Professor of Drama, WashU Performance Arts Department. She is the Director of Our Town by Thornton Wilder
Andrea Urice is a teaching professor of drama in the Performing Arts Department (PAD). Urice teaches directing and acting courses. She is one of the rotating faculty members/co-directors in Washington University’s Shakespeare’s Globe Summer Program in London. Urice is a recipient of Washington University’s College of Arts and Sciences Excellence in Teaching Award. Directing credits for the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis include premieres of Lewis’ plays Evie’s Waltz and Ordinary Nation, productions that garnered multiple St. Louis award nominations. In addition, Urice directed several productions with the Repertory Theatre’s touring Imaginary Theatre Company. Other professional directing and dramaturgical credits include Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Guthrie Theater, Milwaukee’s Theatre X, Steppenwolf Theatre, The Goodman Theatre and Organic Theatre.
