Policy Panel: Will Value-Based Care Save Us?
In the first panel, our participants will lead us through a discussion about how public policy around value-based care shapes (or fails to shape) innovation. In doing so, the group will discuss what levers are available to policymakers and debate their relative power in the broader healthcare market given powerful market forces.

Moderator:

  • Barton Hamilton, Robert Brookings Smith Distinguished Professor of Economics, Management, and Entrepreneurship, Washington University

Panelists:

  • Kevin Counihan, Senior VP Products, Centene

Practitioner Panel: Delivery Model Innovation on the Front Lines
In the second panel, our participants will take us to the front lines, showing us what it looks like to strategically lead innovation across sectors from the organizational perspective. Our participants will address how they respond to market and policy forces, and lead a discussion on a number of different ways their organizations (providers, payers, technology firms, etc.) can create and capture value through the innovation of the model for delivery in this space.
