Michelle West
Criminal Justice Reform Advocate
After spending more than 30 years in federal prison, Michelle West knows
the power of learning even within the confines of incarceration.
West will share how she navigated decades in prison with the belief
that while her body was incarcerated, her mind could remain free.
Through reading, education and continued learning, she found
opportunities for growth and purpose while
advocates on the outside fought for her freedom.
Now, West brings those experience to her work advocating for
criminal justice reform. Join her for a conversation about education,
perseverance, freedom and the ongoing movement for change.
