Join WashU Alumni and Parent volunteers for an afternoon at the Interfaith Action Sunday Soup Kitchen. As a volunteer, we will be helping prep the meal, serve the meal, or get the kitchen and the supplies ready for the next set of volunteers to come. Children as young as 7 are welcome and encouraged to participate, provided the children have adult supervision.

Interfaith Action of Evanston is a network that serves a meal at this soup kitchen or one like it in Evanston every single day of the year, totaling nearly 36,500 meals annually. Interfaith Action has been serving our community since 1979 and every Sunday afternoon, St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Evanston hosts a community meal for between 70 and 110 hungry people in the community.

Requirements for Volunteers: Wear close-toed shoes that are non-slip. Long hair should be pulled back. Plastic (latex) gloves, aprons, and bandannas to cover hair are provided. (If you do not want to wear a bandanna, please bring a hat from home).
