Black Alumni Weekend Giving

Last year, generous and passionate alumni recognized Dr. Leon Ashford by contributing $50,000 in his honor to the Black Alumni Council Endowed Scholarship Fund. Now we have a new opportunity. Invest in students with a gift in honor of the late Professor Emeritus Robert L. Williams, PhD ’61. Dr. Williams was the founding director of Black Studies at Washington University and a founding member of the Association of Black Psychologists. He is perhaps best known for creating the Black Intelligence Test of Cultural Homogeneity and coining the term “Ebonics.”.

Many classmates can offer their personal testimony about those champions - like Dr. Williams - who saw potential and offered encouragement and assistance while at WashU.  With your contribution to the Black Alumni Council Endowed Scholarship Fund, we can continue to support WashU juniors or seniors with demonstrated need. Your participation will inspire these future leaders.
