Join the WashU Atlanta Network as we come together to make a meaningful impact in the fight against hunger, in partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
We believe in the power of community and connection. Together, we will support the Hunger Action Center’s mission to alleviate food insecurity. This collaborative effort not only helps provide meals to those in need but also fosters a sense of unity and purpose among all participants.
What will you do?
During this event, our dedicated network of volunteers will come together at the Hunger Action Center to:
- Sort and Inspect Donations: Volunteers sort through donated food items, checking for quality and ensuring everything is suitable for distribution.
- Pack Food Boxes: Volunteers assemble boxes with balanced selections of food for delivery to partner sites.
- Manage Inventory: Volunteers help track and organize incoming and outgoing food supplies, ensuring accurate and smooth distribution.
- Maintain a Clean Environment: Volunteers help keep the center organized, sanitized, and safe for ongoing operations.
No prior experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to make a difference! We will provide all necessary tools and guidance to ensure an enjoyable and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
Youth Requirements: All volunteers under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult and have a youth liability waiver signed by a parent/legal guardian.
Please note: All guests must register through WashU and the food bank in order to attend. Register through the Atlanta Community Food Bank by clicking here.
