Leading in a JEDI Space: The Art of Inspiration
A talk by Dr. Sian Proctor, Geoscientist, explorer, space artist, and astronaut; mission pilot for the Inspiration4 all-civilian orbital mission to space

Thursday, October 24, 2024
4 p.m. | Graham Chapel

registration required | space is limited

Dr. Sian Proctor will share her unique space story and how she won her seat to space as an artist and poet and found her authentic voice through a life-long journey of exploration and discovery. During this motivating Assembly Series talk in conjunction with George & Carol Bauer Leaders Academy and WashU Leads week, she will take participants into a future centered around creating a just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive space (J.E.D.I. space) both on Earth and beyond.

Assembly Series programming is supported by WashU's ten-year strategic vision, Here and Next, designed to mobilize research, education, and patient care to establish WashU and St. Louis as a global hub for transformative solutions to the deepest societal challenges.  When we bring our community together around topics that expand our knowledge and our perspectives, we stimulate the open, vibrant environment that will make our strategic vision possible.

Assembly Series programs are always free and open to the public, although seating is limited. Parking is available in the Danforth University Garage located at Forsyth Blvd and Wallace Ave.

This event is made possible by the Office of the Provost in partnership with George and Carol Bauer Leaders Academy.
