About
Olin Women in Business (OWIB) promotes gender equity in leadership by offering career, recruiting, educational, and networking opportunities for women MBAs. It is committed to making the Olin environment as supportive as possible for career-oriented women.
At Olin Business School, we value diversity—in fact, Olin has recently been recognized by the Forté Foundation for leading other business schools in achieving gender parity. This is an incredible achievement, especially since women are underrepresented in graduate business programs and senior leadership roles:
- While women make up a majority of the US population, they account for only 38% of MBAs.
- Representation in business leadership also remains a challenge, since women make up less than 5% of Fortune 500 CEOs and only 25% of C-suite executives.
- This leadership gap is even more acute for women of color. Women of color represent only 4% of C-suite executives and only 0.2% of Fortune 500 CEOs.
OWIB believes affording more women the opportunity to attend business school will help continue closing these gaps, and each year OWIB raises funds for an annual scholarship. Join us in our mission by making a gift to OWIB today!
Additionally, we hope you will join us for our Annual OWIB Auction on Saturday February 15, 2020. For more information and to register, click here!
