For our 50^th anniversary this year, the Roy and Diana Vagelos Division of Biology & Biomedical Sciences is looking to establish the John H. Russell Fellowship to commemorate mentors like John Russell, and honor the legacy that not only he established but many other who have fostered great science and relationships here. At Washington University, our hope is to reduce the burden of school debt for our graduates and give them the freedom to pursue career paths and research based on skills and interests rather than loan obligations.

Creating the John H. Russell Fellowship requires a minimum amount of $250,000 to become endowed at WashU. If we can get to $200,000 we will unlock a gift of $50,000 from an anonymous donor that would complete our goal.
