About

To encourage you to participate, Ellen Neuwirth-Hirsch, BS ’75, and Howard Neuwirth-Hirsch, BS ’75, MS ’80, have established a generous Class of 1975 Reunion Challenge.

If only 11 more classmates give back, we’ll reach our goal, and the Neuwirth-Hirschs will contribute $7,500 to our Class Gift!

Howard and Ellen met on the second day of Freshman Orientation and have been together ever since.  They were married in Miami, where Ellen grew up, one week after graduation.  Howard grew up on the campus of WashU as his mother worked for the Engineering School for 25 years.  Ellen had family in St. Louis, so she visited the town often.  She selected WashU for its computer science program.  WashU has been a big part of their lives ever since, as they regularly visit when they return to St. Louis and attend numerous events with the Houston WashU alumni club.  Their daughter Lori immediately picked WashU as her first choice when her turn came and graduated from the Engineering School just like her parents.  The Neuwirth-Hirsch’s have looked forward to each and every reunion to get together with their closest school friends from across the country.  They are a true WashU (in St. Louis) family.
